VETOED BY GOVERNOR O'CONOR AND HIS

REASONS IN EACH CASE FOR THE SAME.

THE TOTAL NUMBER OF BILLS VETOED IS 85.

(All of these bills were vetoed by the Governor after the
adjournment of the Legislature, either having been pre-
sented to Mm after the adjournment of the Legislature
or not in sufficient time to require executive action be-
fore adjournment. }

AIRPORTS.

Chapter 627 (House Bill 626). This measure gives the
County Commissioners of Montgomery and Prince George's
Counties veto power over the actions of the State Aviation
Commission in the issuance of licenses in those counties. The
State Aviation Commission advises that this may result in
serious harm and would destroy the uniformity as well as
being at variance with State and Federal policies in regard to
the licensing and supervision of aeronautics.

ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES.

Chapter 368 (House Bill 564). The State Law Department
advises that this Bill relating to the drinking of certain alco-
holic beverages in certain places in Washington County, should
be vetoed because the provisions in the General Law (Senate
Bill 436, Chapter 775) which is the State alcoholic beverage
control law, accomplishes the same purpose as provided for in
this measure.

Chapter 428 (Senate Bill 459). The State Law Department
advises that this bill relating to distributors' licenses in. Har-
ford County is inconsistent with the State-wide Act which
centralizes the issuance of wholesalers' licenses in the Comp-
troller's hands.

Chapter 536 (House Bill 522). This Act provides for cer-
tain classes of licenses in Washington County and is incon-
