NOTE

Eleven bills were vetoed by the Governor of Maryland following
the 1964 Regular Session of the General Assembly. Eight of these
bills originated in the Senate, and three were introduced into the
House.

Following the provisions of Section 17 of Article 2 of the Con-
stitution of Maryland, all vetoed bills must be referred to the House
in which they originated immediately after the House shall be
organized at the next regular or special session of the General As-
sembly of Maryland, for reconsideration.

A three-fifths vote of the members elected to each House is
required to enact a bill over the veto of the Governor.
